Lorraine Smith MBA, MT(ASCP)SH, CEO
Lorraine Smith currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Monroe County Hospital, Navicent Health Partner, where she oversees the day-to-day operations for the hospital. She works closely with the hospital's board and senior leaders to focus on the patient experience and quality; financial and operational strength; and relationship building with staff, physicians, and the community.
Lorraine has over 17 years of healthcare experience in positions of increasing responsibility to include various clinical laboratory and leadership positions at New York Presbyterian Hospital and Navicent Health.
Lorraine is a strong advocate for continuous process improvement and operational excellence and thus was chosen as an American Society for Clinical Pathology's 2016 40 under 40 honoree. She leverages her Six Sigma Black Belt certification to drive performance excellence to include preparing the Medical Center of Peach County to become ISO 9001 certified.
Lorraine earned her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Management from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Sciences from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
In addition to her work in the healthcare field, Lorraine has served as a member of the United States Army Reserve for over 20 years. She is currently the Headquarters, 98th Division First Sergeant, a unit responsible for training initial entry soldiers. In 2003, she was deployed to Iraq to support Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Lorraine resides in Bonaire, GA with her husband Brandon Smith and their two children.
