TO WORK
Monroe County Hospital, a DNV accredited facility, is here for the health of each citizen in our community and surrounding counties.
Our mission is to provide compassionate community healthcare, healthcare education, and bring awareness to public health issues.Partnering for Pediatric Care Excellence
Monroe County Hospital’s Emergency Department is a participant in the Kids Alliance for Better Care (KidsABC) – a collaboration between Mercer University School of Medicine and its Georgia Rural Health Innovation Center that is supported by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. A Water Safety Partner
Monroe County Hospital is proud to be a member of the National Drowning Prevention Alliance. Drowning is a leading cause of preventable injury and death, and this partnership helps us bring water safety education and prevention resources to families throughout Monroe County. Whether you're at the lake, the pool, or spending time near the water, we're here to help keep our community safe.
Here For Your Health
- Our physician-staffed Emergency Department (ED) is open 24/7. In addition to treating adults, our ED is part of the Kids Alliance for Better Care Rural Pediatric Project, meaning our staff has received additional training in managing pediatric emergencies. Our department is equipped with pediatric-sized equipment and supplies, ensuring children receive the specialized care they need when emergencies happen.
- Our team provides inpatient care for patients who need acute care as well as short-term inpatient rehab through our Swing Bed program including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy for qualified patients who need additional care after a hospital stay for illness or surgery.
- Patients enjoy the convenience of our outpatient Lab and Radiology including CT, Mammography, X-rays, Ultrasound and MRI. This means patients don’t have to travel for these services.
