Monroe County Hospital is a tobacco-free campus

Monroe County Hospital is a tobacco-free campus as part of our commitment to the good health and safety of our employees, medical staff, volunteers, medical students, patients, visitors, and vendors.

In accordance with our policy, smoking or tobacco use is prohibited inside the facilities and anywhere on our property including: entrances, stairwells, patios, passageways, parking lots, and all vehicles located on the Monroe County Hospital campus. This tobacco-free zone applies to everyone, including employees, medical staff, volunteers, medical students, patients, visitors, and vendors.

As a healthcare organization, we are both an educator and a model for healthy behavior in the community. We see firsthand the devastating effects of tobacco - from cancer and heart disease to asthma and emphysema.

We understand that our policy may be difficult for some, but on behalf of everyone on our team, thank you for your continued support of this standard to create a safer and healthier environment for all that enter Monroe County Hospital.
