Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I donate to the Foundation?
As a non-profit, public safety net hospital, our facility provides medical care to those with legitimate medical needs, regardless of ability to pay. This is our mission. But often it results in a great deal of unfunded care and unrealized revenue. Many non-profit organizations, including our hospital, close this gap thru charitable contributions.

Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes. As a 501(c)(3)Charitable organization, your gift to the Foundation is deductible to the fullest extent allowable by law. You will receive the necessary acknowledgements to use for your taxfiling purposes.

May I designate my donation?
Yes. You may restrict your gift to be used for a specific purpose or department. An unrestricted gift will be put to good use in the area of greatest need.

Can my gift be a memorial?
You may designate your gift in memory or in honor of a special person. The Foundation will notify the person or family of the donation, unless you request anonymity.
